[CANCELLED] Jaws (12A) Open Air Cinema at Tinside Lido
It is with great regret that tonight’s Open Air Cinema screening of Jaws is cancelled due to high winds. All ticket holders will be contacted and offered the option to join us for an indoor screening at a later date, or a full refund.
Dir. Steven Spielberg, US, 1975, 124 mins. Cast. Roy Scheider, Richard Dreyfuss, Robert Shaw, Lorraine Gary, Bruce the shark.
It wouldn’t be summer at Tinside Lido without Jaws, the most feared/loved film about the terrors of swimming! When a young woman is killed by a shark near the New England tourist town of Amity Island, police chief Martin Brody wants to close the beaches, but mayor Larry Vaughn overrules him, fearing that the loss of tourist revenue will cripple the town. Ichthyologist Matt Hooper and grizzled ship captain Quint offer to help Brody capture the killer beast, and the trio engage in an epic battle of man vs. nature. They are definitely going to need a bigger boat.
For detailed information about the film's age rating and potential triggering contents, you can visit the BBFC website and search the film title, then scroll down to the “ratings info” section: www.bbfc.co.uk
